Dialogue forum
The dialogue forum is the “heart” of our public participation. It consists of a fixed group of 86 participants who have continuously accompanied our planning since the beginning. They contribute their ideas and suggestions and actively shape the StUB – both critically and constructively. The events of the dialogue forum are open to the public, so you can participate at any time.

The participants
The dialogue forum is divided into an “inner circle” (34 people) and an “outer circle” (52 people). In addition to representatives of interest groups (e. g. German Transport Club, Bavarian Farmers’ Association, Senior Citizens’ Advisory Councils) and organizations (e. g. City Youth Council, Chamber of Industry and Commerce) as well as the three mayors of Nuremberg, Erlangen and Herzogenaurach, 14 randomly selected citizens are part of the “inner circle”. In this way we want to ensure that the interests of the citizens are given special priority in the project. The “outer circle” includes the city council factions as well as other associations (e. g. citizens’ associations) and the works councils of large companies (e. g. Siemens), which are connected to the StUB.
The contents
In the dialogue forum, cross-topic and cross-location issues relating to the Stadt-Umland-Bahn are discussed and debated. Depending on the content, we work in smaller or larger groups. We also collect your suggestions for further planning. We inform you about news regarding the project and answer your questions. By means of this joint dialogue, the planning is continuously being optimized. For example, you came up with the idea of creating Park & Ride facilities along the motorways to enable a direct transfer to the StUB.
